Escape the winter blues! and enjoy a beautiful tropical setting, your party will visit the Gatun Locks, Panama Canal to learn how works the Canal; next, we will travel to the pristine coast of Panamas Caribbean to enjoy the warm water meanwhile your kids enjoy practice activities on the beach, from the beach one minibus will ride to Portobelo Colonial town where our guide will talk about  our rich colonial history. 
During summer time the area of Portobelo is great to practice snorkel and observe the wide quantities of coral  reefs plenty of beautiful fishes.

Description:

First, it will take us 20 minutes to go to the Canal where you will enter the Gatun Locks observation deck. The Panama Canal is recognized as one of the most significant engineering feats in the world, you will now see why it deserves this reputation. At the verbal presentation you will learn about the incredible engineering it took to build them, and there operational significance for international commerce during the last 90 years. You will see the awesome sight of 10,000+ ton vessels carrying their cargo to ports of call around the world. Second, we will travel an internal road inside Colon for around 40 minutes (no jam traffic involved) to a secluded beach (facilities are present) where the turquoise water and soft breezes are sure to melt the stress away! here your party can enjoy many activities like swimming, making sand castles or just catching some sun while reading a good book. The facility also has a restaurant and bar to mix you (over 21 please) all of your favorites spirits, so get your Jimmy Buffet hat on, this tour is a great time sure to be enjoyed by all. There will also be ample time to do some shopping when your party returns to the dock.

Portobelo Colonial Town   

From the beach we will take 25 minutes to drive to Portobelo, we will then visit the old colonial forts, the first Fort is Santiago de la Gloria, which was founded in 1601, to defend the the town of Portobelo from Pirates. We will then visit San Jeronimo fort in the area behind of the Custom Building and finally we will visit the Customs Building, which in 1601 was used by the Spainairds to store the gold they aquired through out South America, before transporting it to Spain. The customs building has been recently restored and now also serves as a museum. At the museum we will watch a video presentation on the prosperous and often turbulent times in this colonial provinces reign, you will be able to observe, artillery, cannon balls, and also other fascinatig artfacts from this Golden era in Portobelos rich history.

First, from the beach we will take 25 minutes to drive to Portobelo, then we will travel by boat (panga) 7 minutes more to the Emerald island, this island is completly secluded with crystal clear water, and coral reef with a lot of beautiful tropical fishes.
